One of my favorite sessions on the New Zealand trip was my Cathedral Cove session.  I dragged the hubbie down the 20 minute walk to the Cove before dawn - yes, stumbling around down the path in the dark with all my camera gear and tripod.  So worth it!

Cathedral Cove has in recent years become an extremely popular tourist destination, and in the summer months, the parking lot becomes so full, people have to be ferried by mini-van from a parking lot further down in Hahei.  So dawn was perfect.  There were two German girls camping at the far end (not allowed, but oh well), and one of them insisted on standing right in my shot a LOT, even though there was tons and tons of other space for her to be in.

Despite that slight irritation, I think I got a lot of stuff to work with - some things, as always irritate me about my shots when I get home to work with them, and I wish I could go back to change just that one little thing - but there are two or three that I am really really happy with.

Enjoy!
